I ultimately chose to wear a more casual J. Crew gown to my wedding as better fit the venue so this dress was not worn except to try on and was not altered. It's been stored in my apartment. I have no pets so no pet hair and it is as clean as I received it from the store but I expect you'll want to get it dry-cleaned and pressed anyway after your alterations so it's fresh. This dress does not come with a belt or sash the way David's Bridal styles it on their website. It's a great idea though, don't you think? Per the David's Bridal website: "A ceremony and reception gown all in one, this two-in-one layered organza fitand-flare gown transforms into short sheath with one quick unzip! Full-length version is a fashionable layered organza, fit-and-flare gown [with a short sweep train]. Transforms into a chic layered organza sheath." Please note again that the belt, sash, veil, headpieces, jewelry, or other accessories featured on photos from David's Bridal are not included.
