This strapless, lace dress is a classic beauty that goes well with any occasion. It hugs the curves just right and has a intricate lace pattern which is the star of this dress (except for you, the bride-to-be!). The top is slightly sweetheart style with a scalloped trim, and has sewn-in boning to make for a very comfortable and flattering fit. No bra or undergarments needed! The dress snugly fits through the torso and flares out slightly into an A-line below the knee. The back is a deep v-cut that hits at the middle of the shoulder blades, followed by a delicate trail of decorative buttons all the way through the train. The buttons conceal the zipper of the dress, and one of the buttons (slightly harder in texture) is used for the built-in bustle.
I am about 5'5 1/2", 130 pounds, with a 32DD cup and shapely hips. I was hesitant to go strapless, but this dress sits high on the chest so you are comfortable and secure all night. With 4" heels, the dress was a perfect length for me. There have been no alterations, and the dress is in very good condition. If you are a borderline size 6/8, this dress might be a little too snug for you. I would recommend it for a small 6 or smaller to leave some room for any alterations or growth, if needed.
The dress was professionally cleaned and pressed in October 2014, and the seamstress was so impressed with the integrity and fabric. This dress will make you feel both sexy and beautiful, and you will get a million compliments on the lace and button detailing. I hate to see it go, but am happy to see it find a new home with a lovely new bride-to-be!
